Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System approves $175m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three private equity funds.

Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System has approved commitments of $75 million each to Wind Point Partners IX and KPS Special Situations Fund V, as well as a $25 million commitment to KPS Special Situations Mid-Cap Fund, a contact at the pension fund informed Private Equity International.

The $28.80 billion US public pension has a 16.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 14.50 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System has made eleven commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $1.04 billion.
