Permira Advisers raises $1.3bn

The London-based investment manager held a first close on its debut growth fund.

Permira Advisers held a first close for its Permira Growth Opportunities I at $1.3 billion. The fund was launched last year with a $2 billion target.

This is the first growth fund the firm has launched. Last July, the fund made its first deal in the Swedish fintech business Klarna.

The firm will use the fund’s capital to make growth investments in the financial services and TMT sectors in Western Europe.
