South Carolina Retirement System has agreed to commit $75 million to TA XIII, according to the pension’s latest meeting materials. This is the first time South Carolina has committed to a TA Associates private equity fund.

The $31.32 billion US public pension has a 6.90 percent target and current allocation to private equity.

As illustrated below, South Carolina has made seven private equity commitments to funds with a 2018 or 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $1.15 billion.
