TA Associates has promoted William Christ, Hythem El-Nazer, Morgan Seigler and Naveen Wadhera to managing directors from their current roles of directors, according to a statement from the firm.
Christ joined the firm’s Boston office in 2003, and focuses on retail and leisure investments. In 2014 he led TA’s investment in Amplify Snack Brands (formerly SkinnyPop Popcorn).
El-Nazer, also based in the firm’s Boston office, has been with TA since 2004 and is responsible for the firm’s investments in software and technology-enabled companies. He led the investment in legal software solutions company Mitratech in September last year.
Seigler joined the firm in 2002 and is based in its London office. He focuses on technology investments across Europe and led the firm’s buyout of software consultancy Access Technology Group from Lyceum Capital in 2015.
Wadhera, also based in TA’s London office, focuses on investments across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region as well as co-leading the firm’s Asia business.
TA has also promoted Dhiraj Poddar in Mumbai and Patrick Sader in London, to directors, Jason Mironov in Menlo Park to principal, Clara Jackson to senior vice president and Daniel Brujis to vice president in Boston and Hong Kong respectively
The private equity firm has invested in more than 450 companies around the world and has raised $24 billion in capital since its inception. In October 2015, the firm also acquired asset management company Russell Investments for $1.2 billion from the London Stock Exchange Group.
