Teijin approves $90m commitment

The Japanese chemicals company has backed a US healthcare fund.

Teijin has agreed to commit $90 million to Medtech Convergence Fund. The venture capital fund is managed by SV Health Investors. The fund will invest in healthcare-related medical devices and services in the United States.

As illustrated below, this is Teijin’s first commitment to a VC fund, which focuses on the healthcare, biotech and life science sectors.
