The US foundation has backed four private equity funds

In October, the University of Michigan revealed commitments of $50 million to OSP Value Fund II, $30 million to Carnelian Energy Capital Fund II, $20 million to IDG China Venture Capital Fund V and $16.8 million to Vitruvian Investment Partnership III.

The $11 billion US foundation has a 26.2 percent allocation to private equity.
