Work gloves manufacturer Mechanix Wear nabs funding from Gryphon

Gryphon Investors has agreed to make an investment in Valencia, California-based Mechanix Wear, a maker of work gloves. No financial terms were disclosed. Mechanix Wear's current CEO and owner Michael Hale will retain an ownership stake in the company. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
