WSIB approves $2.1bn in commitments

The US public pension has backed three North America and Europe focused private equity funds and one multi-regional focused private equity fund.

Washington State Investment Board made commitments of $750 million each to Advent International GPE IX and Blackstone Capital Partners VIII, $400 million to TA XIII and $200 million to Searchlight Capital III.

The $128.2 billion US public pension has a 23 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 17.16 percent. As illustrated in the charts below, the pension has made four commitments to private equity in Q2 of 2019, totaling $2.1 Billion.
