WSIB approves $650m in commitments

Washington State Investment Board has committed up to $350 million to Apax X and up to $300 million to Warburg Pincus China-Southeast Asia II, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The $134.69 billion US public pension has a 23.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 17.2 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, the fund has made six commitments to private equity funds in 2019, which combined constitute $2.75 billion.
