Andersen Business Consulting, the consultancy arm of Andersen Worldwide, is looking to reach a decision on plans to buy itself out its faltering parent organisation, according to a report in the UK newspaper The Business.
The newspaper said analysts suggested blue chip financial sponsors including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, CVC Capital Partners and Cinven were interested in backing a deal which would be worth £500m. Altogether Andersen Business Consulting, which employs 11,000 people, is thought to have received expressions of interest from ten organisations.
According to the Business, Andersen’s consulting division is mulling a decision of whether to sell itself to another consultancy, or work with financial partners and complete a buyout. A decision was expected this week, said the paper.
