ATRS confirms $80m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three private equity funds.

Arkansas Teacher Retirement System has agreed to $80 million-worth of private equity commitments, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International. The commitments comprise of $30 million each to Franklin Park’s International Fund 2019 and Venture Fund 2019, as well as $20 million to Thoma Bravo Explorer.

The $17.58 billion US public pension has a 12.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 12.40 percent.

As illustrated below, ATRS has made 11 commitments to 2019-vintage private equity funds, which combined constitute $320 million.
