Audax-backed Neptune-Benson buys Montréal's Sonitec Vortisand
Neptune-Benson Inc, a portfolio company of U.S. private equity firm Audax Group, has acquired Sonitec Vortisand Inc, a Montréal-based manufacturer of submicron automatic sand filtration products serving the industrial process water treatment market. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Neptune-Benson, a supplier to aquatics, industrial and municipal markets, said the acquisition will expand its products portfolio. Headquartered in Coventry, Rhode Island, the company received an equity investment from Audax in August 2011.
