U.S. private equity firm Arias Resource Capital Management has completed its previously announced $15 million investment in Canadian mining company Largo Resources Ltd (TSXV: LGO). As a result of its acquisition of additional shares in the company, Arias has increased its existing stake to up to 33.7 percent of total outstanding common shares. The Toronto-based Largo indicated in September that it plans to use new funds to support production at its Maracas Menchen vanadium mine in Brazil.

Edwin Cass has joined the board of directors of Markit Ltd (Nasdaq: MRKT), a London-based provider of financial information services. The appointment of Cass, a senior managing director and chief investment strategist at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), follows the pension fund's investment in the company at the time of its initial public offering. Founded by Canadian-born executive Lance Uggla, Markit is a portfolio company of U.S. private equity firm General Atlantic, Singapore investment firm Temasek Holdings and other investors.

The company plans on listing the stock on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "INCR." Goldman Sachs & Co and Credit Suisse are the lead underwriters.
