Liqui-Box, a portfolio company of Olympus Partners, hired Simon Waller as general manager, Europe/Middle East/Africa. Waller was previously an executive at Scholle IPN and Supreme Corq and will be based in Breda, The Netherlands. Liqui-Box provides packaging for the delivery of liquid and semi-liquid products.

Greenspring Associates, a firm that focuses exclusively on venture capital investments, raised $200 million for Greenspring Secondaries Fund II, L.P. The fund will invest in limited partner interests in venture capital funds, as well as in growth stage companies mainly on a secondary basis.

Data protection provider Ionic Security has partnered with Amazon Web Services to deliver its technology via AWS Marketplace. Ionic also raised $45 million in a growth round of funding with participation by new investors Amazon.com Inc., Goldman Sachs and Hayman Capital. Existing investors GV, Icon Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Meritech Capital Partners and Tech Operators also took part.

Healthcare software provider DrFirst acquired certain assets of California-based consulting firm The IN Group. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The IN Group is now a division of DrFirst, led by Brad Block of DrFirst as president and Bruce Matthias, founder of The IN Group, as senior vice president.

EQT Ventures, which recently announced a new $630 million fund, led a $16.1 million Series B funding round in Verto Analytics, a single-source audience measurement company. Series A investors Conor Venture Partners and Open Ocean Capital also participated, as well as new investors Vision+ (Tero Ojanperä), Finnish Industry Investment, and additional angel investors. Vero's total capital raised to date is now $23.9 million.

Partners Group agreed to acquire PCI Pharma Sevices from Frazier Healthcare Partners, which will retain a minority stake in the company. Headquartered in Philadelphia, PCI offers outsourced services across the pharmaceutical supply chain.

GI Partners acquired 825 Stewart Drive in Sunnyvale, California, through real estate fund DataCore L.P. The property, a 75,000 square foot office and R&D building, is leased to a technology company. GI Partners manages DataCore on behalf of The California State Teachers' Retirement System.
