Digital Guardian said Wednesday that it raised $66 million in additional financing. Previous investors GE Pension Trust, Fairhaven Capital Partners, Loring Wolcott & Coolidge, Special Situation Funds and Brookline Venture Partners all contributed to the funding. New investors LLR Partners, Mass Mutual Ventures LLC, the corporate venture capital arm of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. and the venture capital Unit of Siemens Financial Services also participated. Waltham, Massachusetts-based Digital Guardian provides a data protection platform purpose that aims to stop data theft.

RPX Corp. has agreed to buy Inventus Solutions Inc., a Clearlake Capital Group portfolio company, for $232 million cash. Chicago-based Inventus provides eDiscovery services to Fortune 1000 legal departments, global law firms and government agencies. Lincoln International LLC advised Clearlake/Inventus.

Revelstoke Capital Partners said Wednesday it completed its investment in Upstream Rehabilitation Inc. Financial terms weren’t announced. Yukon Partners, Northwestern Mutual Capital and Ally Corporate Finance provided financing. Birmingham, Alabama-based Upstream provides outpatient rehabilitation services, including free-standing physical therapy clinics, outpatient rehabilitation management services and a member network of rehabilitation service providers. Harris Williams & Co. provided financial advice to Upstream.

The Hudson’s Bay Co. is near a deal to buy Gilt Groupe Inc. for about $250 million, according to the Wall Street Journal. The sale price is a fraction of the $1.1 billion value that venture capitalists placed on Gilt in 2011, the story said. Gilt, a pioneer of flash sales, has raised about $280 million in capital since 2007, the WSJ said.
