Cision said Tuesday it has agreed to buy PR Newswire from UBM plc. UPDATE: UBM, in a separate release, said it would receive $810 million plus $31 million of preferred equity. New York-based PR Newswire distributes press releases. Cision is a portfolio company of GTCR. Evercore and J.P. Morgan Cazenove advised UBM.

Thompson Street Capital Partners said Tuesday it closed its latest fund with $640 million in commitments, exceeding the pool’s hard cap of $600 million. The target for TSCP IV was $500 million. Park Hill served as placement agent. St. Louis-based Thomson Street Capital invests in founder-led middle market companies in North America with EBITDA between $4 million to $15 million.
