Leading strategy consultant Bain & Company has appointed Cyrus Jilla as managing partner of the firm’s UK operations.
Jilla has been at Bain since 1997 and currently heads the firm’s European consumer products practice. He will continue his client work and take on additional responsibilities for the internal operations of the firm. These include overseeing resource deployment and talent management.
While at Bain, Jilla has advised both public and privately-held companies on strategy transformations, mergers and acquisitions and private equity. He is best known for his work in the luxury goods sector, although his experience also covers retail and consumer financial services.
Before he joined Bain, Jilla worked at Kalchas, a boutique strategy firm in London, and at investment bank Schroders.
Jilla succeeds Roger Siddle, who has been managing partner since 2001. The firm has a policy of rotating the senior role to help its partners focus on their client work.
Founded in 1973, Bain has 36 offices in 24 countries and has worked with more than 3,600 private equity and other investment firms.
