Capstone opens London office

Managing partner Louis de Saint-Marcq, who is responsible for fundraising and origination across the Nordics, Belgium, Iberia and the UK, will lead the team.

Capstone Partners, a placement agent, has launched a London office.

It is led by managing partner Louis de Saint-Marcq, who is responsible for fundraising and origination across the Nordics, Belgium, Iberia and the UK, according to a statement. He is joined by associate partner Lucien Cipollone, who focuses on the UK and Ireland.

The move creates Capstone’s second European bureau after one in Geneva. The Dallas-headquartered firm – which focuses on fundraisings across private equity, secondaries, credit, real assets and infrastructure – also has offices in Singapore in New York.

Recent fundraises include $625 million for the 2017-vintage Platte River Equity IV, which targets lower mid-market industrials in North America, according to Capstone’s website. It also helped gather $175 million for TR Capital III, a 2017-vintage targeting Asian direct secondaries.
