CDPQ to buy 20 pct of Plenary's Australian infrastructure assets
The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) has agreed to acquire a 20 percent stake in Plenary Group Holdings, which controls all of Plenary Group's Australian operating businesses and infrastructure assets portfolio. No financial terms were released. Melbourne-based Plenary will as part of the deal issue new shares to secure capital for future projects. CDPQ has previously partnered with Plenary, investing more than A$200 million in seven Australian projects since 2012. Last year, CDPQ opened an office in Australia that operates under its subsidiary, CDPQ Sydney.
