Cowen to acquire mid-market financial adviser Quarton International

Cowen Inc, a financial services firm, has agreed to acquire Quarton International, a middle-market financial adviser. According to terms of the agreement, Cowen will acquire Quarton for an upfront consideration of $75 million with an additional contingent consideration of $40 million upon the fulfillment of certain milestones. The deal is expected to close by January 2, 2019. Freeman & Co. acted as financial adviser to Quarton International with Debevoise & Plimpton providing legal advice. And, Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP served as legal adviser to Cowen.
