Canadian mid-market private equity firm TriWest Capital Partners has appointed Dino DeLuca to the new position of chief operating officer (COO). DeLuca, who was previously a partner at law firm Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, will oversee a number of areas within TriWest, including administrative, finance, investor reporting and governance functions, as well as support of investment teams. As reported by PE Hub Canada in February, Calgary-based TriWest raised $500 million in the final close of its fifth fund, TriWest Capital Partners Fund V LP.

The Global Impact Investing Network, a nonprofit organization focused on impact investing, has named Susan Balloch as its new chief operating officer. Previously, Balloch was a managing director at Golden Seeds, an angel group that backs women-led companies. And before that, she worked at Blackstone where she served as an executive director and principal.

The TCW Group said Monday that Frank Gioia joined the firm’s Compliance department as SVP and Head of Investment Control. Gioia was previously the Compliance Product Manager for Charles River Development. Dipo Ashiru has also joined TCW as a Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel.
