Madison Capital promotes three

Chicago-based middle-market lender Madison Capital Funding has promoted three staffers on its team, according to the firm. It has promoted Christopher Taylor to head of new business origination; Jennifer Cotton to chief underwriting officer; and Ashish Shah to head of the investment management group. Taylor joined Madison in 2005 while Cotton came on board in 2007. And, Shah has been with Madison since 2014.

Insight Venture Partners hired Donna Smolens, a veteran advisor to limited partners, as a senior advisor, the New York City-based private equity and venture firm announced today.

Columbus, Ohio-based FCX Performance, a provider of process flow control solutions, has named Thomas Cox as CEO. Previously, Cox worked at MSC Industrial where he served as executive vice president of sales. FCX Performance is backed by Harvest Partners.

Durham, North Carolina-based Zift Solutions, a provider of channel marketing automation solutions, has appointed Matthew Safaii and Hunter Witherington to its board of directors. Safaii is a founder and managing partner of Arrowroot Capital while Witherington is a partner at SSM Partners.

GIP adds new partner to team

Global Infrastructure Partners has named William Brilliant as a partner. Brilliant, who is based in New York, is presently on the board of Hess Infrastructure Partners.

Mid-market private equity firm Calera Capital has named Paul F. Walsh as a senior managing director. Previously, Walsh worked at the firm as an operating partner. He is also the former chairman and CEO of eFunds Corp.

Paladin Capital Group has promoted Christopher Steed to managing director, Mourad Yesayan to principal, Gibb Witham to vice president and Tom Clute to associate.The private equity firm has also launched its new cyber fund platform that will continue the company's strategy of making investments in the cyber security sector. No financial terms were disclosed.
