Evercore taps Aronson as a senior MD

Evercore has named Daniel M. Aronson as a senior managing director for its restructuring and debt advisory group. Aronson will be based in the firm's new Chicago office that will open in November. Prior to joining Evercore, Aronson worked at Lazard where he was most recently a managing director. He's also the former co-chief operating officer of Lazard's restructuring group.

Golden Gate Capital ups Chandna to MD

Golden Gate Capital has promoted Rishi Chandna to managing director, according to a spokesperson for the firm. Chandna joined Golden Gate in 2002. Prior to joining the company, he worked at Bain & Company.

Yoon joins Bregal Partners

Charles Yoon has joined Bregal Partners as a Managing Partner. Yoon most recently was a Partner at Monitor Clipper Partners.

Patel named CFO of First Data

First Data has named Himanshu Patel its CFO. Patel has served as First Data’s EVP of Strategy, Planning & Business Development since June 2013.

PE-backed Impero Software appoints new CEO and CTO

Impero Software, which is backed by UK private equity firm Connection Capital, has hired Sam Pemberton as CEO and Darren Forster as CTO. Pemberton is the former CEO of the Softel Group while Forster was CTO of Softel. Impero is a software products provider for the education sector.

Summit Partners adds new MD for London team

Summit Partners has named Matthias Allgaier as a managing director at its London office. Allgaier will join Summit’s London-based team. Previously, Allgaier worked at H.I.G. Capital Europe where he served as a managing director.

Torys' Harold Huber joins Kensington Capital Partners as SVP

Canadian alternative assets manager Kensington Capital Partners has appointed Harold Huber to the position of senior vice-president. Huber previously served at Canadian law firm Torys LLP, where he was a partner and acted as legal counsel for Kensington's infrastructure business. He has been working in the acquisition and development of energy and infrastructure projects in North America for over 30 years. In June, peHUB Canada profiled Tom Kennedy, the chairman and managing director of Toronto-based Kensington.

A federal appeals court on Thursday temporarily blocked the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from pursuing its case accusing New York financier Lynn Tilton of defrauding her investors, Reuters News reported.
