Littlejohn to buy Kaman distribution unit for $700 mln

Kaman Corp said June 26 that it agreed to sell its distribution segment to Littlejohn & Co LLC for $700 million. The $700 million deal is subject to customary closing conditions and working capital adjustments. Kaman’s distribution unit distributes more than six million items including electro-mechanical bearings, power transmission, motion control and electrical and fluid power components, as well as automation and MRO supplies, to customers in virtually every industry.

Precision Cutting buys majority of CID Performance Tooling

Alleghany Capital Corp said June 24 that it formed Precision Cutting Technologies Inc, which has acquired a majority of CID Performance Tooling Inc. Financial terms weren’t announced. CID, of Saco, Maine, makes precision cutting tools.

Kinderhook-backed Adell Group buys Powerflow

Adell Group Inc, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries LLC, said June 26 that it acquired Powerflow Inc, Powerflow Products Ltd, and Gestion Solutions Plastik Inc. Financial terms weren’t announced. Powerflow, of Buffalo, New York, provides injection-molded plastic accessories sold to automotive vehicle manufacturers and dealers.

PE-backed Bromford acquires Accrofab

Bromford Industries, which is backed by Liberty Hall Capital Partners, has acquired Accrofab, a provider of complex fabricated and machined engine bracketry for the global aerospace industry. No financial terms were disclosed.

LVC invests in Soho Studio Corp

LongueVue Capital has made an investment in New York City-based Soho Studio Corp, a provider of mosaic, tile and specialty interior products. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction that was done in partnership with Soho Studio Corp CEO and founder Eli Mechlovitz.

Alleghany Capital acquires CID Performance Tooling

Alleghany Capital has acquired a majority stake in Saco, Maine-based CID Performance Tooling, a maker of high-performance solid carbide end mills. No financial terms were disclosed. Also, Alleghany Capital has formed Precision Cutting Technologies, a new holding company for its subsidiaries in the machine tool and consumable cutting tool sectors.

ClockSpring|NRI, which is backed by Wind Point Partners, has acquired Milliken Infrastructure Solutions. No financial terms were disclosed. Kirkland & Ellis and KPMG advised Clock Spring|NRI on the deal while Jones Day supported Milliken & Company.

PE-backed Tank Holding acquires Poly-Mart and WRP Containers

Tank Holding, which is backed by Olympus Partners, has acquired Austin, Texas-based Poly-Mart and WRP Containers, manufacturers of both water tanks and refuse containers. No financial terms were disclosed.

Construction Resources, a portfolio company of Monomoy Capital Partners, has acquired United Materials Inc, a Florida-based importer and distributor of surfacing materials. No financial terms were disclosed.
