Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners has agreed to acquire Oryx for about $3.6 billion. The sellers included Quantum Energy Partners, Post Oak Energy Capital, Concho Resources and WPX Energy. Barclays advised Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners on the transaction while Jefferies LLC and Citi acted as financial advisers to Oryx and its sellers. Based in Midland, Texas, Oryx is a midstream crude operator in the Permian Basin.

Hull Street Energy LLC said March 29 that it acquired Bayswater and Jamaica Bay natural gas-fired electric generating stations. Financial terms weren’t announced. NextEra Energy Resources is the seller. The two plants are in Far Rockaway, New York and provide approximately 110 megawatts of power generation capacity to the region.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board has agreed to invest about $750 million in Aqua America Inc, a Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania-based water and wastewater utility. As a result, CPPIB will acquire about 21.7 million newly issued shares of the company’s common stock. The proceeds will support Aqua’s acquisition of Peoples Natural Gas Co LLC, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based provider of natural gas services, from SteelRiver Infrastructure Partners. The deal, announced in October, is valued at $4.3 billion, including debt.

SK Holdings Co Ltd has agreed to invest $300 million in Blue Racer Midstream LLC, a portfolio company of First Reserve. Blue Racer owns, operates, and develops midstream assets in the Utica and Marcellus Shale plays of the United States.

Vortex Energy, a European renewable energy platform backed by EFG Hermes‘ private equity arm, has closed its sale of a 49 percent stake in a Pan-European wind power portfolio managed and co-owned by EDPR,to institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management. No financial terms were disclosed.

TransAlta and Brookfield plan to work together to complete TransAlta's transition to clean energy. TPG will acquire a majority stake in Goodnight Midstream for about $930 million. As part of the transaction, Tailwater Capital LLC and Goodnight Midstream's other investors will maintain a "significant" minority stake. Dallas-based Goodnight Midstream provides oilfield water infrastructure to oil and gas producers.
