Blackstone has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Banco Popular's real estate portfolio. According to terms of the deal, a new company will be formed in which Banco Popular will transfer assets to it that have an aggregate value of about 30 billion euros. Upon the closing of the transaction, Blackstone will own a 51 percent stake in the new company while Banco Popular will own the remaining 49 percent stake.

Virtua West Valley Hotels, an affiliate of Virtua Partners, has acquired a Phoenix area 2.32-acre hotel site for over $1 million. Quyp Hospitality, a Virtua affiliate, is planning on building a Fairfield Inn and Suites on the site. Virtua affiliate Versant Commercial Brokerage helped out in structuring the deal.
