Heitman appoints Ehlinger as senior managing director of real estate securities

Heitman LLC, a real estate investment management firm, has named Jerry Ehlinger as senior managing director of Heitman Real Estate Securities. Ehlinger has been with Heitman for eight years and most recently led the firm's North American strategies. Also, he was co-portfolio manager for the group's global strategies.

Alexandria Real Estate Equities appoints Ryan as co-investment officer

Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc, a real estate investment trust focused on collaborative life science and technology campuses in AAA innovation cluster locations, has named Daniel J. Ryan as co-investment officer. His appointment is effective immediately. Ryan joined Alexandria in 2010.

CA Ventures hires Isaac as EVP of public-private partnerships

Chicago-based CA Ventures, a real estate investment firm, has named Peter Isaac as executive vice president of public-private partnerships. Previously, Isaac worked at Brailsford & Dunlavey Inc where he most recently served as vice president of public-private partnerships.

Elion Partners' DeAngulo joins Harvard's alumni real estate board

Juan Roberto DeAngulo, a managing partner at Elion Partners, a real estate private equity firm, has joined Harvard University's alumni real estate board. DeAngulo is a 2017 graduate of Harvard’s Advanced Management Development Program.

Harbor and Bascom buy office buildings in California for $37.4 mln

Harbor Associates and The Bascom Group LLC have acquired office buildings in Los Angeles and Del Mar, California in separate deals that total $37.4 million. Included in the transactions are a 75,000-square-foot office building at 4130 Cahuenga Boulevard in the Los Angeles submarket of Toluca Lake for $21.7 million; and a 39,000-square-foot office building at 2010 Jimmy Durante Boulevard in Del Mar for $15.7 million.

BKM collects $135 mln for fund

Newport Beach, California-based BKM Capital Partners, which is focused on acquiring multi-tenant industrial properties in metro areas across the Western U.S., has closed its second institutional fund at $135 million. The fund's limited partners include unidentified investors such as a a U.S. college endowment, a U.S. state pension fund, a large U.S. insurance company, a German trust and a Canadian family office.

H.I.G. acquires Brazilian office building

H.I.G. Capital has acquired Parque Ana Costa, an AAA office building in Santos, São Paulo, Brazil. No financial terms were disclosed.

Capital Square 1031 buys nine medical office buildings

Capital Square 1031, real estate investment and management firm, has acquired a portfolio of nine medical office buildings located in five states. No financial terms were disclosed. Each property in the portfolio is leased to Fresenius Medical Care, a provider of dialysis services and products.
