Tri-Artisan Partners, a New York merchant bank, today announced it has hired David Libowitz as a managing director.
Libowitz was most recently a partner at private equity firm Warburg Pincus. He had worked at that firm for 11 years.
Tri-Artisan engages in financial advisory as well as principal investment activities. Libowitz will primarily focus on building the firm’s private equity business.
Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Libowitz was founder of Trail’s End Partners, a private equity firm.
Tri-Artisan, with offices in New York and London, was founded in 2002 by Gerald Cromack and Rohit Manocha. The firm has invested alongside other private equity firms in several major transactions, including the acquisitions of Harrah’s Entertainment and Linens n’ Things.
