Ithmaar appoints McKinlay as executive director(2)

Stormberg Partners founder Michael McKinlay has been appointed executive director of Ithmaar Bank’s private equity team.

Bahrain-based Ithmaar Bank has appointed banking veteran Michael McKinlay as executive director of its private equity team.

Michael Lee, chief executive of Ithmaar, said McKinlay has extensive experience in the financial services industry, including 25 years in fund management and banking, of which 15 years have been in the Gulf Cooperation Council.

McKinlay founded and led Stormberg Partners, a Gulf Cooperation Council based advisory firm.  Before that he set up wealth management start-ups for Credit Suisse and HSBC, among others.

McKinlay also worked for 10 years as a commercial banker at JP Morgan.

Ithmaar works in private equity sectors such as infrastructure, innovation, technology and real estate.
