Swiss-based private equity investor LGT Capital Partners has announced the appointment of former UBS Capital executive director Marco Bizzozero. Bizzazero will join the firm’s newly established secondary private equity team as vice-president, working alongside Wolfgang Müller.
According to Ivan Vercoutère, partner at LGT Capital Partners: 'Bizzozero will be focusing on our activities in the private equity secondary market. LGT Capital Partners has been an active buyer of secondary portfolios for many years, and now we have decided to set up a dedicated team to consolidate our activities.”
Prior to joining LGT, Bizzozero spent eight years at UBS Capital. According to a company spokesperson, the new secondary portfolio team will be looking at secondary deals on a global basis with a view to “making the most of the growing market for secondary purchases.”
LGT Capital Partners, based in Pfäffikon, Switzerland comprises a team of over 40 professionals with over E2.8bn of assets under management.
