Morningstar to acquire PitchBook for about $180 mln

Investment research provider Morningstar Inc has agreed to buy PitchBook Data Inc for about $180 million. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year. Based in Seattle, PitchBook is an information provider for the private capital markets, which includes venture capital, private equity and M&A.
