New Mexico SIC approves $132.5m in commitments

The US sovereign wealth fund has backed two North America focused funds.

New Mexico State Investment Council announced commitments of $125 million to HPS Specialty Loan Fund V and $7.5 million to Thayer Ventures III, a contact at the sovereign wealth fund informed Private Equity International.

As illustrated in the charts below, the $26.85 billion US sovereign wealth fund has a 12.00 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 9.68 percent. So far in 2020 a total of $140 million was committed by New Mexico SIC to private equity.
