NIC approves $100m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two North American private equity funds.

Nebraska Investment Council has agreed to commit $50 million each to New Mountain Partners VI and McCarthy Capital Fund VII, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The $26.39 billion US public pension has a 5.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 6.7 percent.
