Onex-backed Emerald Expositions buys trade show and conference assets
Emerald Expositions LLC, a portfolio company of Canadian private equity firm Onex Corp, has bought two leading trade show and conference businesses. The sellers in the two separate transactions were Vendome Group LLC and Macfadden Communications Group LLC. The financial terms were not published. Based in San Juan Capistrano, California, Emerald Expositions is an operator of business-to-business trade shows and conferences in the United States. It was acquired by Onex for US$950 million in 2013.
