Paul Capital Partners has hired Elaine Small as a managing director in the firm’s newly established London office.
Based in New York, Paul Capital maintains additional offices in San Francisco, Paris and Basel, Switzerland.
Paul Capital is known for its secondary private equity fund management, but the firm also manages capital for investment in venture capital funds of funds and medical royalty funds.
Small will source and negotiate secondary transactions for the firm as well as work with the firm’s network of relationships across Europe and the Middle East, according to a press release.
Small most recently was an executive search professional with SpencerStuart & Associates where she focused on the private equity and venture capital markets. She previously worked at investment banks Bankers Trust, First Boston and JP Morgan.
Ken Macleod, a principal, leads Paul Capital’s medical royalty activities in the London office, which is located at 8 Clifford Street.
The firm had been doing business out of a temporary space in London for several years before recently acquiring permanent space.
