Stone Point to take a majority stake in Genex from Apax
Stone Point Capital LLC has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Genex Services, a provider of cost containment services for the workers’ compensation, disability and auto industries. The seller is Apax Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of this year. SunTrust Robinson Humphrey was strategic and financial adviser to Genex. UPDATE: Apax’s investment in Genex has generated a 3x multiple of invested capital, a source said.
