Sycamore Partners seeks $1 bln dividend from Staples: Bloomberg

Sycamore Partners is looking to take a $1 billion dividend out of Staples that will saddle the company with about $1 billion of debt, Bloomberg is reporting. Sycamore will recoup roughly two-thirds of the $1.6 billion it put up to take Staples office supply business private 18 months ago, leaving around $600 million equity in the unit, the story said.
