Ontario Teachers'-backed Compass acquires ROOT Data Center
Compass Datacenters LLC has acquired Montreal-based ROOT Data Center, a wholesale data center provider. No financial terms were disclosed. McMillan LLP and Wick Phillips provided legal counsel to Compass on the transaction while DH Capital LLC served as exclusive financial adviser to ROOT with Dentons LLP serving as legal adviser. Headquartered in Dallas, Compass is a wholesale data center provider. It is backed by RedBird Capital Partners, Ontario Teachers' Plan and Azrieli Group Ltd.
