COPERS boosts private equity allocation

The US public pension has increased its exposure to the asset class.

City of Phoenix Employees ‘ Retirement System (COPERS) has increased its private equity allocation from 4.04 percent in March 2018 to 5.72 percent in March 2019, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The $2.61 billion US public pension has a 9.0 percent target allocation to private equity.
