Genstar-backed Palomar adds Bilot to advisory board

Palomar Insurance Holdings, which is backed by Genstar Capital, has appointed Daniel Bilot to its advisory board. Currently, Bilot is the CEO of Capital Risk Partners. Palomar provides commercial and residential earthquake insurance.

Pritzker Group Private Capital hires Blackstone, TPG, UBS execs

Pritzker Group Private Capital has hired three professionals to its Los Angeles office. The new Los Angeles team includes former Blackstone Group managing director Michael Dal Bello as an investment partner on the healthcare investment team. Dal Bello is joined by Ceron Rhee as vice president in healthcare, a former vice president at TPG Capital; and Evan Earley, associate, who joins from UBS, where he worked as an analyst.

GPB Capital hires Scott Naugle as CFO

GPB Capital Holdings has hired Scott Naugle as chief financial officer of the firm's automotive retail group. Naugle is responsible for financial oversight of the fund's dealership investments, including financial reporting, acquisition due diligence, treasury, risk management, procurement, internal audit and profit optimization. Prior to GPB, Naugle worked as director of corporate finance and accounting at DCH Automotive Group.

5AM Venture Management hires Bristol-Myers Squibb executive

5AM Venture Management has hired Brian Daniels as a venture partner and Stephen Bonelli as chief financial officer. Daniels was most recently senior vice president in global development and media affairs for Bristol-Myers Squibb, and a member of the company's senior management team. Bonelli joined from Three Arch Partners, where he was CFO from 2005 to 2014.

Highland hires new MD

Dallas-based investment firm Highland has appointed Felicia Smith as managing director. Previously, Smith worked at Santander Consumer USA where she served as vice president of capital markets.

CapitalSpring adds two to team

New York-based alternative asset manager CapitalSpring has expanded its team with two hires. The firm has named Todd Foust as managing director and head of underwriting and portfolio. Also, CapitalSpring has appointed Kristin Reilly as vice president of investor relations. Previously, Foust worked at Goldman Sachs while Reilly worked at GoldenTree Asset Management.

Evercore Casa de Bolsa hires Mexico equity capital markets group head

Evercore Casa de Bolsa has named Ruy Halffter as head of the Mexico equity capital markets group. Halffter will be based in Evercore’s Mexico City office. Previously, Halffter worked at BBVA Bancomer where he served as executive director and head of the equity capital markets group.

Warburg Pincus names MD in Brazil office

Warburg Pincus has hired Piero Minardi as a managing director in the firm's São Paulo office. Previously, Minardi served as a partner at Brazilian investment firm Gávea Investimentos.

Vista Equity's PeopleAdmin hires new CEO

PeopleAdmin, which is owned by Vista Equity Partners, has appointed Kermit Randa as CEO. Randa's management experience includes working at EMC, Surgical Information Systems and Greenway Health. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, PeopleAdmin is a provider of talent management solutions.
