Investcorp buys Vivaticket

Investcorp has acquired Vivaticket, a manager of electronic ticketing, access control systems and security services for events. No financial terms were disclosed. Gattai Minoli Agostinelli & Partners advised Investcorp on the transaction.

Advent technology fund raises $2 bln

Advent International said Sept. 18 that its technology-focused fund closed on its $2 billion hard cap. The target for Advent Global Technology was $1.6 billion. The tech fund is a companion to Advent’s ninth private equity fund, which raised $17.5 billion. Advent said it has also opened an office in Palo Alto, California.

Cancom SE is weighing options after receiving buyout approaches about a potential buyout, Bloomberg is reporting. Potential suitors of the German technology services provider include EQT and Permira, as well as larger rivals like CDW Corp, Germany’s Bechtle AG or an arm of Japan’s Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp, the story said.

Enlightenment Capital invests in Expression Networks

Enlightenment Capital has made an investment in Washington, D.C.-based Expression Networks, a provider of electromagnetic spectrum management solutions, automation and visualization technology, software engineering and data analytics to the national security community. No financial terms were disclosed.

Lift & Co closes private placement

Canadian cannabis media and technology platform Lift & Co has secured C$3.5 million in a private placement. The investor was Gotham Green Partners LLC. In August 2017, Lift & Co raised C$3 million in Series A funding. Launched by Tyler Sookochoff, Lift & Co. was initially designed to be an online meeting place to share experiences, read industry news and discover strains.

Genstar-backed Sphera completes thinkstep acquisition

Sphera, which is backed by Genstar Capital, has closed its previously announced acquisition of Stuttgart, Germany-based thinkstep, a provider of software and consulting services company that specializes in corporate sustainability and product stewardship. No financial terms were disclosed.

Millennium Business Systems, of Cincinnati, provides copiers, printers, multi-functional technology, and document management hardware and software to companies in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton, Ohio, and Southeast Indiana business communities.

Luminate Capital invests in MSI Data

MSI Data said Sept. 11 that Luminate Capital Partners has invested in the company. Financial terms weren’t announced. MSI provides field service management software.
