Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds has agreed to commit $75 million to Clearlake Opportunities Partners II, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.
The $33.26 billion US public pension has a 10.90 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 7.20 percent.
As illustrated in the charts below, this is the first commitment Connecticut has made to a private equity fund with a 2019 vintage. The pension previously made six commitments to 2018 vintage funds, which combined constitute $537 million.
