Illinois Teachers’ approves $219m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three North American PE funds.

Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois has confirmed $219 million-worth of private equity commitments to three vehicles, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The commitments comprise of $125 million to RCP Multi-Fund SBO 1.0 managed by RCP Advisors, $44 million to SK Capital Partners’ Catalyst Fund and $50 million to SCP Private Corporate Lending Fund managed by Solar Capital Partners.

The $53.24 billion US public pension has a 13.0 percent allocation to private equity.

As illustrated below, Illinois Teachers’ has made 12 commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $858 million.
