Nebraska Investment Council approves $50m commitment

The US public pension has backed Wynnchurch Capital's fifth series buyout fund.

Nebraska Investment Council has agreed to commit $50 million to Wynnchurch Capital Partners V, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International. The pension previously committed $25 million the fund’s predecessor in 2015.

The $28.24 billion US public pension has a 5.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 5.60 percent.

As illustrated below, the pension fund has made five commitments to private equity funds with a 2018 or 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $250 million.
