UVM approves $7m commitment

The US-based institution has backed a venture capital fund.

University of Vermont has confirmed a $7 million commitment to Ecosystem Integrity Fund IV, according to the foundation’s February 2020 investment subcommittee meeting minutes. The venture capital fund will invest in the Clean Tech, Renewable, and Natural Resources sectors.

The $551.10 million US foundation currently allocates 10.28 percent of its investment portfolio to private equity.

As illustrated below, UVM has made several commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 and 2020 vintage, which combined constitute $34 million.
