Private Equity International Awards 2019: winners

Read the results of the annual awards, voted for by the industry.

The annual Private Equity International Awards celebrate excellence in the private equity industry.

This year we expanded the awards with the launch of new secondaries categories: Preferred Equity Deal of the Year and Direct Secondaries Deal of the Year. We also split our three regional Secondaries Deal of the Year awards in two: LP Sale of the Year and GP-led Deal of the Year.

After gathering nominations, canvassing the market and a thorough review, the PEI editorial team drew up this year’s four-strong shortlists in November. Readers were then invited to vote on the entries over December to 10 January. This included an option to suggest an winner outside the selected shortlist.

We received thousands of votes globally, attesting to one of the defining characteristics of the awards – that they are decided by the industry, for the industry.

In a year when a number of the categories resulted in tight races, we congratulate all winners and runners-up, as well as thank those who submitted entries. Our gratitude also goes, of course, to our readers for voting.
