LVC raises $465m

The Shanghai-based firm closes its second dollar-denominated fund above target.

Loyal Valley Capital held a final close of Loyal Valley Capital Advantage Fund II in November for $465 million. The fund was targeting $400 million.

LVC’s prior fund, Loyal Valley Capital Advantage Fund, closed with $390 million in May 2018. The dollar-denominated fund was the first vehicle run by a Chinese GP to open up to foreign investors.

LVC typically invests in consumer sectors including media, entertainment, education, healthcare, specialty industrials and financial services.

TR Capital has committed an undisclosed amount to the fund, according to PEI data.
