Macquarie Capital, the investment banking arm of Australia’s Macquarie Group, has added Peter Kind and Kevin Charlton to its New York office in advisory and asset management roles, respectively.
Kind will be a senior managing director in Macquiarie’s advisory and capital markets business, where he will focus on the power, utilities and renewable energy sectors, according to a statement. He joins Macquarie from Bank of America Securities, where he served as a managing director and head of power and corporate investment banking since 2005.
With his appointment, Macquarie has 30 advisory professionals in the power, utility and renewable energy sectors in New York and Austin. Kind is one of three senior managing directors on the team, alongside New York-based Alan James and Rob Kupchak.
Separately, Macquarie also made Charlton a managing director in New York. He will serve on a team that manages Macquarie’s principal investments across its infrastructure and other investment funds, according to a person familiar with his role.
Charlton was previously with private equity firm Investcorp.
