Innovatis takes E2m second round funding; Danish battery technology firm secures E800,000.

Innovatis takes E2m second round funding

Innovatis, a German company developing medical technology equipment, has secured E2m second round funding from Dusseldorf-based venture capitalist Ventizz Capital Partners.

Ventizz Capital Partners manages around E25m and invests in early stage companies operating in the internet, biotechnology and telecommunications markets.

Danish battery technology firm secures E800,000

Danacell, a start-up developing battery technology, has secured E800,000 first round funding from Danish venture capitalist Olicom. The money raised will be used for further research and development of new polymers for lithium ion batteries.

Olicom focuses on mobile data communications, and typically invests between $500,000 to $3m. With this latest investment, the firm takes a 30 per cent stake in Danacell, valuing the company at E2.7m.
