OST plans 2019 alternative investments

Oregon State Treasury has backed a plan to increase its alternatives portfolio.

The Oregon State Treasury’s alternatives portfolio team expects $1.50-$2.50 billion in commitments during 2019, according to the annual review presented to the Oregon Investment Council.

As illustrated in the charts below, the pension made an overall 38.2 percent asset allocation to alternative investments; of which the $103.90 billion US public pension has a 17.5 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 20 percent.
